Small and Simple things

Bonjour à chacun entre vous! (Hello to each of you!)

To begin, I hope you each had a wonderful and thrilling week! Life is good and we are meant to have joy so I hope you each found a lot of it! This week we found much joy in what the Lord accorded us!

This week we had some trials! We taught a preacher this week and let's just say that was a very humbling experience! If we are to understand one another we must learn to love one another by listening to God and His children with deep consideration for what they say! The best way to defend the truth is to live the truth!

Later in the week, we had an exchange with Elder Illunga and Elder Nymbwe! I had the pleasure to teach with Elder Illunga and admire God's wonderful creation with him! We had made goals to teach efficiently, find families and invite many to come unto Christ by sanctifying His Sabbath Day (the 7th day of the week on which God has commanded us to rest, do good, and grow closer to Him). Heavenly Father helped us accomplish all of these goals especially when He led us to 2 families with many questions about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the existence of God! Truly it was an exchange touched by God!

Then thankfully I got to work again with Elder Kadiata for the rest of the week and we worked very efficiently by organizing our area! It was fun to serve, to laugh, to learn, and to love by his side with the Savior! It's also his bday this p-day so...HAPPY BDAY PDAY TO ELDER KADIATA!

All in all, know that you are a child of God with the ultimate potential to be perfectly happy during the eternities by obeying Christ and by His infinite grace. God exists and it is up to you to search for Him. These two scriptures bring me much comfort about how to know if God exists:

John 7: 16-17
"16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his willhe shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself."

We must do the will of God to know if He truly does exist. But we must do His will; in other terms seek Him, by this manner described in Jeremie 29: 12-13;
"Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

We must search for God by doing His will and by praying to Him with all of our hearts. I know He exists by doing this in my life!

So for each of you who need some reassurance seek Him and He will reassure your soul "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world!" (John 16:33)

We all wore suits.

Well hello to each and every one of you spectacular people who shine like bright stars in my life! I hope and pray that each and every single one of you is finding joy in doing good things! As always remember who you are (a child of the all-powerful and perfect God) who you are becoming (like Him) and who can help you out to achieve this wonderful eternal destiny (none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself our humble older brother)! I sincerely do hope you each are living justice-filled and happy lives!

This week was rather epic:
We had MLC. Brother Lane from Utah came to speak to us!
We had a multi-zone conference. We all wore suits.
We had a huge baptismal service. Truly the power of the divinity was manifested during this service as we sang our hearts out and as we performed our duties in the eyes of God!
All thickly covered in and sprinkled with the sweet glaze of miracles from our loving Heavenly Father.

The Baptismal Candidates: Brother and Sister Mabika. Since 2015 they have fallen in love with the church of Jesus Christ! They worked super hard and with a lot of faith to finally be married this last march to thus be finally married this last week!
Sister Rayonne: My companion found her a couple days before I arrived here. She is 16, super smart, funny, popular, and loves the Book of Mormon. Teaching appointments with her were always filled with the Spirit! (Her older sister is going to be baptized on June 4th)!
Sister Jayna: She is 17 years old and she had been "une ami eternelle" ("an eternal friend"). Most of her family are members and now finally she is too!

I am always in awe of how quickly the blessings of eternity can be accessed. I stand all amazed at the love of my Savior Jesus Christ who offers blessings, the effects of the Holy Ghost, and justice to all the poor, the captives, and the oppressed on this planet.  One day I hope to see the effects of the apostasy healed away from this scarred planet.

I love each and every single one of you! I hope you each can find the true joy which is to be found in Jesus Christ!

Jusqu'au revoir!

Avec amour, Elder Habel
