Bonjour à chacun de vous!

Bonjour à chacun de vous! J'aspire pour le jour que je puisse vous revoir tous de nouveau! (Hello to each of you! I long for the day that I can see you all again!)

This week was awesome! We had zone council which was very productive! We taught everyone how to teach by the manner of the Lord!

1) Love those souls which you teach!
2) Teach by the Spirit!
3) Teach the Doctrine du Père Céleste (of the Heavenly Father)!
4) Favoriser (Promote) an active learning experience (by assuring the follow-up)!

We did so by using the Book of Mormon, a book of ancient holy scriptures similar to the bible which confirms Jesus is indeed the Christ! It was a very neat experience! I felt like by teaching this lesson we were able to show a good example which is key to progression!

Besides that, Elder Nymbwé and his companions saw a hippo! They were just so nice to send us a video of the hippo! These last couple of weeks the Lord has been giving us a jungle cruise! Maybe next week I'll see an elephant!

It's an experience like that which helps me reflect and then appreciate all the Lord has given me! Cool animals, marvelous experiences, and people that treat us with so much love. For example, Sister Grace basically fed us and Brother Paulviche and Brother Dugué every day this week!

We also had the wonderful experience to baptise Sister Charity! She had been ready since the beginning of the month but she had to take care of some tests thus the reason she got baptized this week! Also, Brother Dubrel and Sister Corrine are going to get married here soon on July 9th! We also have the mother of Sister Rayonne and Sister Riche de Grace who is a big-time Pasteur who wants to get married and baptized! (*Deep breath*) Fr. Dugué, Mardoché, and Samuel are going to be baptized this next week! Truly the Lord is good! He is always there by our side in our afflictions if we follow Him!

Of all the things for which I am full of gratitude, my relationship with the Spirit, my Big Brother Jésus Christ, and my Heavenly Father are by far the most valuable to me!

Je vous aime! Je prie que vous ayez le succèss et la réussite en tout ce que vous entreprendrez à faire! (I love you! I pray that you have success in whatever you undertake to do!)

Avec amour, Elder Habel

Full of Light & Free of Chains

Bonjour à tous, comment allez-vous? Hello everybody, how are you?

La famille va super bien? The family is doing great?

Vos affaires vont d'une façon merveilleuse? Your business is going wonderfully?

Welcome back everyone to another weekly with Elder Habel in the Congo! As always I hope you each are finding and pursuing much joy in your unique walks of life!

This week we had MLC which was very useful and eye-opening! I have come to realize by being humble and by being willing to learn life becomes a lot easier! We found a lot of inspiration for how we are going to tackle some problems we have in our zones!

Besides MLC I had the splendid opportunity to do a split with our Assistant Elder Tshiswaka! We were able to attend a district council with Nzoko! Thanks to some inspiration coming from God are vision was cleared and we found solutions to problems; notedly how to do missionary work more efficiently. We realized we need to teach more families with the members by relying on the Holy Ghost by teaching the true doctrine of Christ discovered in the Book of Mormon!

Also, we had an interesting reflection on the story of Jared and his brother who were led by God to escape the consequences of a people persisting in sin. To provide light to their submarine boats God touched 16 stones to give light as they crossed the great expanse of the ocean. The thought came to my mind that once the stones were illuminated there was never darkness in their boats. It is the same for us: when we act with faith, God touches our hearts so that we might always have His light with us. We can always have it in our life if we do not choose to throw His light out of our hearts (or their boats in their case). God is good. He wants to be happy and have peace.

Thus, to end a good spiritual week we saw a monkey tied to a tree! Kind of sad but nevertheless an interesting experience! Sin is a chain just like the chain is for the monkey! To be free we must let Christ break the chains of our sins!

I love each and every one of you! May we be full of light and free of chains!

Love, Elder Habel!

English class, Corn, Kittens, and Christ

Bonjour à tous! Mboté!

Once again, like every time, I truly do hope you are each happy and safe!

This week was really good! Why you might ask?

1) we were able to help many of our friends come unto Christ! One experience which has been special to me has been with the brother Duygué! When we first met him he was having problems with his family. Now, after applying the restored Gospel of Christ his family situation has become much better and he has become much much happier! Same thing for Sister Riche de Grace! She straight-up challenged everyone who wasn't baptized at her baptism to get baptized so that was awesome! I love these souls who are my dearly beloved brothers and sisters!

2) I saw a puppy and a kitten playing together so that was a win!

3) We saw corn! (For some reason Elder Kadiatia absolutely loved that haha)!

4) English course was fun as always and I was able to admire many wonderful enigmas created by our Heavenly Father!

So all in all it was a good week! I have come to cherish the confidence I have in my Savior. Truly above all He and my Père Céleste are the most important people to me! Why? Because They love me perfectly and They want to save me, my family, and all my friends! Truly I need Him!

Just like I need you.

He needs you!

Avec beaucoup d'amour, Elder Habel!
