Miracles

 The miracles this week:

-Sr. Corinne and her husband Fr. Dubrel are going to get married in July! Miraculously their family told them they just have to pay a symbolic dote (100 dollars) instead of the real one (4,000 dollars)! I know God truly can soften and change hearts!

-Elder Beya and I testified of Christ-like Alma and Amulek to a group of Anti-Christ! We used the Book of Mormon and the truths of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We were filled with power and their leader's heart changed before our eyes. He went from denial of Christ's love to accepting it!

-Fr. Willy received a confirmation from God that the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true! He read, meditated, and prayed! He said he was filled with peace! God is present in his life!

 

   

-Also, got some pretty epic shots with Elder Kingoma, Elder Mboungou rocking his latest style, a hamster, some eggplants growing on a bush, and a quite perfect sunset! 

 

 

So, as you can tell between the exchanges with Elder Neilsen, Beya, and Kimgoma we saw the hand of the  Lord often!

A Change of Scenery

Bonjour tout le monde! (Hello everybody!)

Let's get started!

First off this week was really fun! I got of change of scenery when I went on an exchange with Elder Kaniki! We worked really hard from sunrise to sunset which made me really happy! When we met our first friend Fr. Ange we were talking about the Plan of Salvation when he brought up a question about forgiveness of sins! We testified of Christ and His ability to cleanse us of our sins! There were tears in his eyes and the Spirit created a very still and peaceful ambiance. 

Then his dad came and tried to bash with us for an hour. 

But don't worry the Spirit helped us out. He went from seeking to destroy us to a softened heart and taking a new meeting with us. The Power of the Spirit is real. It reduced his doubts to rubble. 

Then we had a zone council this week! That was really fun! By the middle of the council, we were in what felt like a Pirates of the Caribbean sword fight with "the word." Nothing serious but trying to keep the word from going too off-hand felt like being Jack Sparrow trying to fend off a crew of angry pirates. I love our zone! It was a really productive meeting! We grew in love and even did a KAHOOT! Let's just say KAHOOT is just as fun in Africa as it was in the States during high school! The video shows we have a very "Office"y vibe to our zone. (I just hope that doesn't mean I'm completely like Michel haha).

After that, we had another exchange with another team of missionaries! This time I was with another American elder, Elder Warth! We had an awesome day together as we were able to work for the Lord from sun up to sun down! We taught with authority and power because of our unity! We even gave a Priesthood blessing together to a sick poor mama (Mama Sophie)! Fr. Davido and Fr. Mardoché were with us this day and after having worked with us they told us excitedly that if we ever needed anyone to work with again that we should call them! "C'était formidable!" ("It was great!")

We had the baptismal service for Sr. Esther the day after our MLC where we had Mexican food! I don't think the joy of eating Mexican food after basically a year can compare with anything else temporally. Is it strange that that was a huge answer to my prayers? Maybe. Haha but MLC was really good as we got to the basics of centering our lives on Christ! 

 

Now back to the baptismal service. Because water was once again a problem we had to go to Guynemer for the service. That was a bit stressful trying to move all of our friends who came to somewhere they didn't know but grâce à Lui (thanks to Him) it all worked out alright! After waiting for 3 hours we had a really good multi paroisse (ward) baptismal service! I was very grateful to be with a lot of members, friends, and missionaries during such a joyous occasion! 

On Sunday Sr. Esther came late to sacrament meeting so she didn't get confirmed a member. That'll be next week. I have learned the Lord really wants me to learn patience. Like really badly haha.

And I love Him all the much more so because of that! 

I hope you each feel loved and cared for! As you can tell God can help us have a very content and happy life! Till next week...

His Charity is Perfect

I got peed on by a turtle. 

Bonjour et mboté à tout le monde! Hope each of you is happy, safe and that you feel and search for God's presence in your everyday life! 

Elder Konan and I worked really well together once again. We saw many of our old friends and recent converts! It was really fun this past week! We had plenty of Rendez-vous which canceled but that didn't stop us! We saw many miracles this week as the Lord led us by His Hand to run into, contact, and find many wonderful people! Also, Fr. Mardoché, Davido, Adolphin, et Fr. Jeancy passed their interviews for their baptism so whoop whoop! 

God is good, He loves you and He answers prayers. He forgives us and He blesses us. That we may listen to Him every day and to His Spirit. They will lead us to do everything that we must do to have joy (2 Néphi 32:5). They will point us to Christ who loves us with a love that surpasses all possible comprehension. Voilà an example from the Book of Mormon: another testament of Christ.

Alma 26: 32-33 (in the lense of Christ)

"32 Car voici, il a préféré sacrifier sa vie plutôt que d’ôter la vie à son ennemi (nous voir Mosiah 3:19, John 15:13) ; et il a enterré sa volonté profondément dans celle-ci du Père (Mosiah 15:7) à cause de son amour pour ses frères.

33 Or, voici, je vous le dis, y a-t-il eu un aussi grand amour?..."

Alma 26:32-33 (in the lens of Christ)

"32 For behold, he would rather sacrifice his life than take the life of his enemy (we see Mosiah 3:19, John 15:13); and he buried his will deep in the Father's will ( Mosiah 15:7) because of his love for his brothers.

33 Now, behold, I say unto you, has there been such great love?..."

No. His charity is perfect. He loves you!

Not Coincidences but Manifestations of God's love!

Hello! 

Let's get this thing started!

This week was good! We were able to progress really well with lots of friends and we were also able to find a couple new people to teach by meeting with our members! We were able to celebrate the birthday of Elder Kombo (Fr. Yanick) who is in our zone! It was a really good week but not unexposed to difficulties!

We received transfer news and found out that Elder Sindika was getting transferred to Nkombo! We have really enjoyed working together and didn't want to split up because of how well things have been going in our area! However so so sad this was it was followed by some good news! I am going to receive Elder Konan again as my companion! He is going to be a zone leader with me! We are very excited to heat things up again in our zone! Miracles are on their way!

 

 

 

We also got to see a wedding at the church on Saturday! Lots of dancing, loud music, and food! Nothing fancy but it sure was fun and even more so as I saw many wonderful people I've been missing like Sr. Soungi, Fr. Guichel, Sœur Junelcia, and Fr. Cléo! People that I love have been just happening to bump into me in the streets and random places. Definitely not coincidences but manifestations of God's love!
